The stakes are high when your decisions directly impact the city, community, homes and livelihoods of 120 million people. This was why we were so humbled to be awarded the tender to create the future vision of the Philippines.
Working at the intersection of data and culture, we were well placed to deliver both the art of their brand proposition with the science of land planning modelling.
We simulated over 100,000 future versions of the Philippines based on a curated dataset across academic journals, publications, urban authorities, macro economic indicators and internal data. What if the BPO industry collapsed? What if the cultural and financial capital relocated away from Manila?
From this we prioritised the best opportunities to prepare based on deep understanding of Filipinos, we modelled the consequential land use requirements, and we identified key signals to monitor over time & inform future decisions.
